We love new students!

 

You don’t have to be flexible to practice yoga! In fact if you are not flexible – you are in good company and good hands! We believe in a balanced body and that means strength and flexibility combined.

For your first class, please come in about 10 minutes early, so we can introduce ourselves to you and get you familiarised for your first class!

If you are new to yoga, keep an eye out for our 4 week Beginner’s Course. This course is designed to introduce you to the foundations of yoga, and show you modifications you can make whilst in any of our timetabled yoga classes.

No Shoes

We have a no shoes policy so please leave shoes at the front door.

What to bring

We have mats, towels and water available but do bring your own if you have them.

What to wear

Basics classes are warm, wear clothing that breathes, females – similar to the above picture, men – shorts and singlet or many men prefer just shorts for the hot classes.

A Little Paperwork

Please print and complete our registration form and bring it with you to the first class to save time.

The HYA Yoga Studios stock a range of Yoga items, should you need them:

  • Skidless’ towels recommended for hot yoga
  • Beginners eco yoga mats
  • ‘Jade’ / Manduka eco yoga mats
  • Yoga pants and clothing
  • Yoga Mat Carry Bags

  •  Mat Hire (highest quality Manuka mats)
  • Various Yoga Books, DVD’s etc.
